PCCEP Settlement and Policy Subcommittee meeting: Focus on Directives and PCCEP Codification

This week’s PCCEP meeting is packed full of important discussions.

The top ones are how the Portland Police Bureau creates and gets public input on directives. Directives are the policies that PPB officers work under and essentially provide the frameworks for interactions and responses. This is includes when and how to use force.

They will also discuss the codification of PCCEP into Portland City Code and the recommendation PPCEP is making for city council to review and vote on.

There will also be an update on PSR Town Hall and discussion about the Portland Police Association’ s( the police union) ballot measure proposal to remove nearly all the accountability and oversight that you all overwhelmingly voted in 4 years ago.
